Dear friends and family

I am writing this email to personally ask for your help in an important project.

I now live in Colorado, where I helped to push for the first ever personhood amendment to make it on to a ballot.  Of
course, the other side outspent us by many times, and the politicians and the media did their best to put us down, and
there's no denying it, the worst side won.
But principled pro-lifers scored a huge victory too.  We had over 500,000, and
that's no typo, half a million people voted to extend personhood rights to all human beings, regardless of their
development or how they came to be conceived.
This was a great, if not a total, victory.

Now, I am working with a group of dedicated pro-lifers called Personhood USA to bring personhood to the rest of the
country, one state at a time.  Currently we have seven states that have introduced personhood legislation, and two,
Montana and North Dakota have had one branch of their bicameral state government pass the bills (Lawmakers Declare
Fetuses to be People Too: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=90241) and now we are awaiting the
other branch's vote.  Unlike many "national" pro-life groups, Personhood USA does are excellent stewards of your
money.  I know because I have helped with this group from the beginning, and I can tell you there are no six figure
salaried employees sitting at some headquarters office.  Personhood USA are hardcore - living week to week - out in the
field pro-lifers.

While I have stood on street corners and supermarkets to gather petitions in the cold winter evenings, and helped to
shape personhood legislation by advising activists on the language with no financial support, I now have the opportunity
to make a big contribution, but I need a little bit of help from you.  I would like to produce a short inspirational
documentary for the personhood movement  comparing the deprivation of rights that slaves suffered with the
deprivation of rights that our unborn children (I have one that is now 25 weeks!) now suffer.  To do this I wish to travel to
Maryland to interview Alan Keyes to get his special insight on the subject of abortion and slavery.  I would also like to do
some extensive research at the National Archives and the Library of Congress to acquire archival material that will make
the short film more visually interesting.

I hope  the final product will help to motivate many more people to get involved with the personhood movement and to
fight for the rights of the voiceless in the womb in their own home state.  If we are going to succeed against the evil of
abortion, we need to engage the people in the forms that appeal to them.  Today, film and video are what novels were in
the past.

Because Personhood USA is a true grass roots organization, I want to donate my efforts to produce this video for them.
To do that I need your support.  It will take me one month to have a finished product.  I would like to raise $2,500 to
cover the cost of travel, production, and equipment.  Personhood USA has set up a page for me to accept donations
online using any major credit card.  Will you help me reach that goal by donating to my account?  By the way, the
donations will be tax deductible because they will go through a 501(c)(3) so if you want to, you can claim any amount
you donate to me as a tax deduction.

IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN DONATING TO MY PROJECT PLEASE PASS THIS
LETTER ON TO THEM.

Thanks in advance for your help, and God Bless you.
